GEA two-phase decanter separators have been specially designed for olive oil extraction. The drum has a cylindrical part that allows an efficient separation and clarification of liquids. The centrifugal force projects the solid particles against the drum wall, which is transported by the auger to the solids outlet.

The separated and clarified oil phase discharges by gravity through the liquid outlet regulated by diaphragms of the decanter, while the solid phase leaves the decanter through the solids outlet.
