This is a drill bit grinding machine for bits from 8 to 30 mm, with an adjustable point angle from 90° to 140°.

Standard equipment: CBN grinding wheel for HSS drill bits.

Grinding a drill bit is accomplished in three steps. First, the bit is clamped into position in a fixture, followed by grinding and point thinning (split pointing). Finished in less than a minute!

Before clamping the bit, the drill diameter is set using a rotary knob on the grinder. The drill bit, matched to the appropriate collet, is aligned and clamped in the left holder of the machine using the fixture.

Grinding the cutting edges and splitting the point are straightforward processes. Switch on the machine, insert the fixture with the bit into the right holder, and gently rotate from stop to stop – the first cutting edge is done. Now, rotate the fixture 180° and grind the second cutting edge.

Point splitting is performed the same way, using the top holder. That’s it. Now just switch off the machine and remove the drill bit from the collet.

A brilliant idea combines an eccentric mechanism with a special grinding wheel so that you don't need to worry about the shape of the edges or the clearance angle. There’s also the advantage that both cutting edges are produced with the exact same setting, guaranteeing optimal cutting symmetry. Additionally, the point angle can be freely set between 90° and 140° prior to grinding.

The service life of the grinding wheel exceeds 3,000 applications. In addition to the standard CBN grinding wheel for HSS tools, we also offer a diamond grinding wheel for carbide drill bits. Changing the wheel is done in just a few seconds with simple steps.

The compact design of the drill bit grinding machine and the practical carrying handle make it easy to use on site. Since nearly all essential accessories such as collets, fixtures, or hex keys are stored on the machine, everything needed is always on hand.
