1.2.1 ITEM 1: First Machine: 1 TIMESAVERS, 71 series-1600-WW-RT
General Description: Grinding machine equipped with two wide abrasive belt top contact rollers for grinding and finishing stainless steel coils to a NO. 4 finish.
Operation:
• Load meter indicates percentage of head motor load, allowing full utilization of available horsepower.
• Mitsubishi E 1070 Control unit including:
• Electronically digital feed speed read-out in mm/min.
• Electronically digital thickness set-up read-out in mm.
• EMC Filter (for fluctuations in the electrical supply).
1st Head for No. 4 finish:
• Contact roller: Ø280 mm, with special vulcanized oil and heat-resistant rubber, 55 Shore hardness, with special profile groove.
• Heavy-duty grinding head.
• Fine height adjustment of the head, precision to 0.01 mm for pressure or abrasive belt thickness adjustment.
• Displacement can be read out on the dial indicator.
• Outboard support: quick-release M20 bolt for fast abrasive belt changes and rigid head support.
• Abrasive belt tension: air-operated and activated by thumb switch. Air tensioning automatically compensates for belt stretch.
• Machine cannot be started unless belt is tensioned.
• Abrasive belt tracking: electronic system automatically keeps the high-speed abrasive belt on the head.
• Belt trimmer: lever to correct belt mis-tracking.
• Tracking limit switch: safety stops the grinding head in case of tracking failure.
• Frequency-controlled main motor, 45 kW, 8-22 m/sec for achieving different finishes.

2nd Head for No. 4 finish:
