The STANKO SEDIN 1512 is a conventional vertical turret lathe designed for heavy turning and machining of large and heavy workpieces. Manufactured in the former USSR, this machine is recognized for its robust mechanical design and suitability for industrial heavy metalworking applications.

The machine features a large 1120 mm diameter faceplate and supports workpieces with a maximum turning diameter of 1250 mm and a maximum turning height of 1000 mm. Depending on configuration, the lathe can handle workpieces with weights up to approximately 3200–4000 kg.

The spindle speed range of the rotary table is approximately 5 to 250 rpm, allowing for versatile turning operations on different materials and diameters. The machine is driven by a main motor with a power of around 30 kW.

The solid single-column construction and substantial machine weight of about 16 000–17 500 kg ensure stability and rigidity during machining. The STANKO SEDIN 1512 is suitable for heavy turning, facing, boring, and drilling operations on large components commonly found in machine building, heavy engineering, and repair facilities.
