Multifunction Safety Tester KT 1880B

Multifunctional Safety Tester KT 1880B – Test Automation in 6U

The KT 1880B is a compact safety tester in a 19" rack-mount format (5U) and combines all relevant test types in one device: high-voltage test (AC/DC), protective conductor test, insulation test, substitute leakage current test, function test, and continuity test.

This enables the KT 1880B to meet the requirements for efficient, safe, and standards-compliant safety testing according to IEC, EN, UL, VDE, and other international standards – ideal for final inspection, manufacturing, and quality assurance.

Technical Performance Data

- High-voltage test AC: 100 - 5,500 V / 0 - 3 mA
- High-voltage test DC: 100 - 6,000 V / 0 - 10 mA
- Insulation measurement DC: 100 - 6,000 V / 250 kΩ - 1 GΩ
- Protective conductor test AC: 10 - 30 A / 0 - 400 mΩ
- Substitute leakage current test AC: 100 - 270 V / 0 - 10 mA
- Continuity test DC: 24 V / 0 - 600 mA
- Function test / current consumption AC: 4 A (Option: 1 A, 10 A, or 16 A)
- Wide-range power supply: 90 to 253 V / 50 Hz / 60 Hz

Test Automation & Ease of Operation
Thanks to the integrated 4.3" TFT color display with intuitive menu navigation and freely configurable test programs, the KT 1880B enables a fully automated test sequence.
The test item only needs to be connected once – no need to change connections.

This significantly reduces test times and potential sources of error, making it a clear advantage, especially in automated production environments.

Compliance with Standards & Operational Safety
With a short-circuit current of 3 mA AC / 10 mA DC, the KT 1880B meets the requirements of EN 50191 for safety-current-limited devices.
As a result, it can also be operated by non-electricians – ideal for companies with mixed testing staff structures.

Fully Electronic High-Voltage Generator
The integrated digital high-voltage generator ensures high accuracy and stable test results – even with demanding test cycles and under production conditions.

Typical Applications
- Serial production & final inspection
- Type testing according to international safety standards
- Production of electrical devices, components & assemblies
- Automated testing environments & test benches

Flexibility, Safety & Automation Combined
The KT 1880B is the ideal solution for safety testing in industrial environments.
