It is typically used for ultrasonic welding of thermoplastic parts. At the top is the pneumatically actuated ultrasonic head with converter, booster, and sonotrode; the workpiece is fixed on the base plate in a suitable fixture.

Important: Operation usually requires an external 35 kHz ultrasonic generator, a suitable sonotrode, and a workpiece fixture. Only the connection or booster is present at the bottom of the head; the actual workpiece-specific sonotrode is missing.

The device is from 1998 and, according to the nameplate, operates at 230 V. Before commissioning, electrical safety, pneumatics, two-hand release/emergency stop, and safety devices should be checked.
