AD 5 automatic feed control
The FSM series models are equipped with an automatic feed control (AD 5). Various grinding cycles are available: surface grinding with infeed at the starting point, slot grinding with infeed at the starting point, and slot grinding with infeed at both the start and end points. The infeed of the grinding wheel can be individually configured depending on the workpiece. The total grinding dimension is divided into rough and fine infeed steps, which can be freely programmed with a minimum increment of up to 0.001 mm, depending on the application. The system also allows dwell times after a defined number of infeed steps and spark-out passes after reaching the grinding dimension, ensuring optimal grinding results.
