Concept:
The planed workpieces are placed onto the cross conveyor, which serves as a feed magazine.
Two workpieces are subsequently fed in at set intervals for processing.
A milling spindle mounted on a carriage mills the radius sequentially.
Following the milling operation, a saw unit separates the parts.
A gripper holds and then guides the part through the grinding units.
1 Automatic Edge Milling Machine:
- 2 x feed magazines as cross conveyors with 4 infeed belts
Minimum wood length: 600 mm, Maximum wood length: 1200 mm
- Base frame in robust, welded construction made from profiled steel tubing
- Milling unit comprising:
- 1 milling spindle, 9,000 rpm, 2 kW motor, frequency-controlled drive
- X-Z slide assembly with linear guideways, ball screw, NC servo motor
(Both spindles travel synchronously along the contour)
- Saw unit with saw blade, diameter 300 mm, 3,500 rpm, 2 kW
Fjdpfow I A Raex Abxsgh
- 1 gripper for handling workpieces, grips them at the saw and feeds them through the grinding units
- 4 grinding units, each with 1 kW grinding motor, approx. 800 rpm, manual adjustment
- Electro-pneumatic control via B+R PLC with 10" touchscreen HMI, pneumatics by Festo
- Machine supplied with 2 extraction ports, diameter 120 mm
(without milling cutter, without grinding wheel, supplied with 1 saw blade and 1 milling cutter)
- Feed axis right/left, constructed separately with 2 NC axes for part feeding
- Brushing station:
2 brushes each mounted on NC sliding carriage, program-controlled movement adapts to part dimensions
- Fault Detection:
Errors must be marked on the workpiece with chalk in the correct position. A sensor detects the chalk marking and diverts the part to the waste chute. The process continues without interruption, only defective parts are excluded from brushing.
- Central lubrication system, automatically regulated via control panel
- Position measuring system in clamping device:
If dimensional deviations are detected, the control system automatically compensates for the difference.
- Removal of rejected parts via conveyor belt

Minimum: 32 x 16 mm
Maximum: 64 x 62 mm
Finished wood length
Minimum: 32 mm
Maximum: 320 mm
Both rectangular and round bars can be processed
Standard wood lengths: 1200 mm or 600 mm (do not mix lengths during operation!)
