The Luxel F-4080 is part of Fujifilm's Luxel family of image capture systems. It is a multi-laser imaging system that automatically scans a series of working images downloaded from a RIP server onto film, using an internal drum and a high-speed rotary device to scan the film. It processes the data for fast optical scanning, provides continuous film transport using a dual-cassette system, controls the delivery of cut and punched film to the developer, and controls the software system that manages all the main modules. A touchpad with menu windows in the form of icons and selectable buttons is used to operate the machine.
