CATERPILLAR C4.4 ENGINE

The four-cylinder Caterpillar C4.4 ACERT diesel engine with a displacement of 4.4 liters provides power to the machine's drive and working units.

• Gross power: 55.5 kW / approximately 75 hp
• Net power according to model documentation: 50.9 kW / approximately 69 hp
• Rated engine speed: 2,200 rpm
• Fuel tank capacity: 110 liters
• Hydrostatic drive system
• Catalog travel speed: up to 16 km/h
• Catalog paving speed: up to 30 m/min

Smooth speed control allows the work rate to be adjusted to the supply of the mixture and the conditions on the construction site. Paving, travel, and maneuvering modes facilitate operation during surfacing and machine movement.

AS3173 WORKING TABLE — WORKING WIDTH 1.70–3.20 M

The mounted Caterpillar AS3173 table allows for hydraulically adjustable paving width in the basic range of 1.70 to 3.20 m.

Model expansion options:

• Width up to 4.00 m after mounting additional extensions
• Width from 0.65 m with an appropriate reduction attachment
• Catalog cross-profile adjustment of the table: from -2.5% to +4.5%

The AS3173 design includes electric heating of the working plates and a vibration system. The table forms the surface and provides preliminary compaction of the mixture before final compaction with a roller.

MIX FEEDING SYSTEM

The AP300D model has a front hopper with a catalog capacity of approximately 3.8 m³. The mixture delivered by the truck is transported by conveyors to the rear of the machine and then distributed by screws in front of the working table.

Independent control of the conveyors and screws allows the material feed to be adjusted to the working width and rate. The ability to change the direction of their operation facilitates control of the mixture when finishing the working strip.
