The Autoclude peristaltic pump is a type of tube (hose) pump made by Verderflex / Autoclude. Its defining feature is that only the flexible tube (or hose) inside the pump is in contact with the fluid being pumped. The rest of the pump (rollers, casing etc.) stay clean / isolated. This makes them good for contamination-critical, corrosive, slurry, or shear-sensitive fluids

Design / Key Features

Some of the design / functional features:

Seal-less and valveless: Since fluid is contained within tube, no seals exposed to fluid or valves that could leak.

Self-priming: Can start pumping without needing fluid completely filling the inlet, and often able to handle gas or ‘air’ in the line.

Capable of running dry without damage (when tube material allows) for short durations.

Electrolab Group

Reversible flow: The rotor or drive can reverse, so flow can be reversed to purge lines, etc.

Gentle pumping: Because fluid only contacts tube, and the shearing is limited, better for shear-sensitive liquids / slurries.
